Up to 20 weeks of age | Feed as much as your kitten will eat in 3 or 4 feedings per day |
21 to 30 weeks of age | Feed 1 can per pound of body weight per day |

Gradually transition by adding a small amount of Tiny Tiger kitten food to your cat's current diet, reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of Tiny Tiger for 7 – 10 days until the transition is complete. This will allow your cat's digestive system to acclimate to the new food without causing any tummy upset. We recommend the following protocol:
Days 1-3 | 75% old food with 25% Tiny Tiger |
---|---|
Days 4-6 | 50% old food with 50% Tiny Tiger |
Days 7-9 | 25% old food with 75% Tiny Tiger |
Days 10+ | 100% Tiny Tiger |
FAQ
Tiny Tiger is a cat food and treats brand that is currently sold on Chewy.com. Tiny Tiger follows strict quality standards and applicable federal and state regulations, and the products are manufactured in the USA with materials sourced from the USA and around the world.
Feeding your kitten food specifically formulated for their needs is important for their healthy growth and development. Kittens require extra calories, protein, healthy fats, and essential minerals like calcium and phosphorus to support their muscles and bones. Our Tiny Tiger kitten diets are created to meet these specific requirements. It is important not to feed kittens diets labeled for adult cats, as they won't provide the necessary energy and nutrients required for proper growth.
Feeding wet kitten food may offer some nutritional benefits over dry kitten food. Felines often struggle to drink enough water, so wet food can help keep them hydrated. High-quality wet kitten foods, such as Tiny Tiger, typically have more meat, protein, and fewer carbohydrates, which can better meet a kitten's nutritional requirements compared to dry food.
Offering your kitten a variety of flavors and formats can be beneficial. Early in life, kittens begin to develop preferences for food taste and texture. Providing your kitten a variety of flavors and formats like pate, chunks in gravy, and chunks in extra gravy, can help ease the transition to adult food. Regularly exposing your kitten to different flavors and formats as they grow may assist in minimizing pickiness and potential food rejection in the future.
When transitioning your kitten to a new food flavor or format, it's essential to go slowly to avoid any issues. Start by following the instructions on the website but remember that cats can be picky. Consider extending the transition period anywhere from two to four weeks. If your kitten accepts the new food and their digestive system seems fine, you can gradually speed up the process.

Felines prefer their food to be warmer when consumed. If they do not like their food when it??s cold, it is recommended to microwave the food in a microwave safe bowl in 10 second intervals until the product reaches a warm temperature, between 70-98??F. Check the temperature either with a kitchen thermometer or by touch (be careful here). If the food is hot to the touch, it??s too hot for kitty.
Once opened, canned food should be stored in the refrigerator for no longer than three days. Canned food that has been opened and left at room temperature should be discarded after three hours. Clean the bowl prior to refilling it.
Tiny Tiger Kitten Classic is created with Kittens in mind. For adult cats, we recommend Tiny Tiger Cat Food.
