Stainless steel wont degrade over time with the constant water flow or will it get moldy as quick as a plastic oneor discolored from sunlight or just being in the air. The Stainless steel ones look nicer as well.
Yes, very convenient! The water valve on the lid can adjust the water flow.
The water continuously runs. You have to unplug it to turn it off. But it is really quiet. You can??t even tell it??s on.
Yes it is high quality 304 stainless steel.
For a single small or medium dog and bunny, it would be great.
Not at all. The pump is not noisy at all and the flow of water is very gentle so it does not make any splashing noise whatsever.
No, there are no sharp edges, it's safe for pets.
One of the reasons you need the filter is because your pet will be drinking from it and the water is recycled through the filter to keep the water clear of debris such as pet fur and pet saliva too.
It depends on how much your pet drinks. In general it lasts about 12 days with 1 cat and 6 days with 2 cats.
The pink algae form when food scraps sit in the water for several days or when water is exposed to direct sunlight and photosynthesizes.
For pink algae treatment, please try this method. Combine a quarter cup of baking soda and a tablespoon of liquid dish soap in a small bowl. Then dip the bristles of the cleaning brush in the formulated cleaner and scrub on the surface where the algae are. When you're done scrubbing, you can wipe the scrubbed area with a damp towel or rinse off the cleaned grime.
Or use a rag mixed with food-grade detergent to scrub the fountain.
To keep your pet's drinking water fresh for as long as possible, place the fountain in a well-aired room, away from direct sunlight. When the water level gets low, don't just top it up, but rinse and refill the fountain instead.
In addition, we recommend giving the fountain interior a quick wipe once a week, thoroughly cleaning all components with dish soap, and changing the filters and sponges at least every two weeks. Please do it more often if you have more than one pet.
