Feeding Instructions
Feeding Your Dog: Our Cage-Free Duck & Oats Formula is a complete and nutritionally balanced food for all life stages. Serve dry or slightly moistened in a clean bowl. Use this chart as an initial guide and adjust accordingly. Feeding guide indicates the suggested total feeding amount per day. FirstMate recommends splitting this amount into two or more meals per day. Always provide fresh clean water. For pregnant females, increase feed intake beginning week 7 of gestation up to 25%. For lactating females increase feeding up to 50%, feeding a minimum of 3 times per day. Feeding requirements vary depending on breed and litter size. Monitor body condition of pregnant and lactating females and adjust feed accordingly.

Gradually transition by adding a small amount of FirstMate to your dog's current diet, gradually reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of FirstMate for 7 – 10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10 – 14 day transition.
